"no" is used by female speakers and
children, and is used when giving an
explanation or expressing emphasis or
emotion.  It is also used as a question
marker in place of
"ka" when uttered with a
rising intonation.  It is used with informal
speech.  
"Na" replaces "da" (after nouns
and
"na" adjectives) when used with "no".

ex. Tegami wo kaku no.
I am going to write a letter.
ex.  Ima, kaeru wa yo.
I'll go home now.
