| "Zo", "ze", "chi", and "yo" express assertion and mean, "I tell you," "you know." "Da" is used after nouns and "na" adjectives before "yo", "zo" and "ze". They are used in informal speech only. "Ze" is used when making a strong statement. "ze" cane be used in place of the agreeing particle "ne" and "chi" is used when making soft statements. ex. Kyou ha katsu* zo!
